The Start of UCOP Poker Tournaments Announced by Microgaming

Microgaming has marked the start of its biggest Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP) tournament series that will take place from 13th of January until the 10th of February. The tournament of two series, the Passport and the Mini series, will include 112 exciting events with more than €500,000 in prizes.

Alex Scott, Microgaming’s Managing Director of Poker said that the event has gone global. Building on last year’s success, the two series are giving players an opportunity to feel the thrill and luxury of MPN Poker Tour festivals. Inviting all enthusiastic live poker players to join, Scott confirms that they will welcome the lucky winners along.

UCOP Passport

The UCOP Passport’s leaderboard offers €10,000 worth of awards across all events that take place from 27th of January until 10th of February 2019. The players that find themselves on the top spot, as Scott announced, will take hope 3 MPN Poker Tour Packages, €4,500 worth plus an Online Tournament tickets package worth €550. Players at the UCOP Passport events will get a chance to travel to the most stunning European cities during 2019 and attend the remaining MPNPT live poker events, while the lucky winner will get an entry to the main event, as well as an entry to a side event, where travel expenses and accommodation for themselves and a guest of their own choosing will be covered.

The winner will, additionally, qualify for the Tournament of Champions that takes place on 17th February 2019 and get one MPN Poker Tour package €1,500 worth.

UCOP Mini

The UCOP Mini series, on the other hand, which are really popular in the online poker world, will take place from 13th until the 27th of January and will offer buy-ins and one-tenth the size payouts. The buy-ins will range from €0.55 to €320 in both UCOP Passport and UCOP Mini series so that players can enjoy the action regardless of their level.

The UCOP Mini series will take the same format as the Passport ones, except for the difference in buy-ins.

Qualification for UCOP Passport and UCOP Mini Series

As published by Microgaming, the qualification for both series is available at a fraction of the cost. The satellites are running 24/7 on all poker rooms, while the packed satellite schedule includes a weekly €0.11 satellite into the UCOP Passport Main Event on Sundays at 15:45 with €50,000 for grabs, 50 Seat Mega Feeder to the UCOP Passport  Main Event at 14:30 on 10th of February with €5,500 in seats guaranteed, and many more.
