Four Seasons Slot Review & Free Play
Where To Play
Betsoft have managed to come out of the woodwork with another fantastic addition the online casino genre and this time it’s in the form of their aptly named slot game, called 4 Seasons. The game focuses heavily on the Chinese culture and uses a lot of oriental designs and characters throughout the theme. The game has numerous fun and cute characters that will surely appeal to a broad audience and if the far east culture even slightly appeals to you, this is a game that should make its way onto your list to try.
4 Seasons has plenty of cute and fluid animations that add to the delivery that Betsoft were going for and the soundtrack suits this entry well, without being too in your face; plus, there is always the option to turn it off altogether, if you don’t want to experience it.
Looks & Feel:
As we covered earlier on, this game has a lot to do with the Chinese culture and specifically with their Zodiac signs and there are 12 signs in total, which are represented by the 12 animals that you will find across the reels on 4 Seasons.
The game is a 5-reel slot that is spread across 3 rows and has a maximum amount of 30 paylines that players get to choose from or select all at once; if that’s your thing. There are a dozen symbols that you will familiarise yourself with, consisting of the pig, dog, monkey, rooster, horse, goat, dragon, snake, rabbit, ox, tiger and the rat.
The scatter icon for this game is the Yin Yang symbol and this activates one of the key features in this exciting game. The wild for this game consists of the Maneki Neko golden cat and this icon will substitute itself for all the icons in the game, except for the scatter.
Block Win Combos:
On 4 Seasons, the animal icons can become stacked on the reel, which can cause them to create a block and this will apply an extra multiplier to your winnings.
2-Reel Block – 2x Multiplier
3-Reel Block – 3x Multiplier
4-Reel Block – 5x Multiplier
5-Reel Block – 10x Multiplier
Players will be able to double up after each win, and this is where some of the serious money can be made on this game. So, if you manage to net a nice win out of nowhere and fancy your odds at 1/2, you can click on this feature to try your luck. If you lose, you will lose all your winnings though, so you should be careful when you do decide to use this feature.
You will by now have noticed that there is a wheel placed in the bottom left-hand corner of the game and this is the game’s seasonal wheel which will rotate one animal to the left every 30thspin of the base game that you make. Depending on whether the animal that the wheel is pointing to is in a winning combo, you will have the multiplier next to the animal’s name applied to your total winnings.
Yin & Yang Free Spins:
You will trigger the yin yang free spins when you land on 3 or more of the icons across any of the reels, so long as they are in view. 3 Scatters will land you 8 free spins, 4 will give 12 free spins and 5 scatter icons will give you a whopping 20 free spins to use. The interesting thing about this bonus feature is that you can receive more free spins during this round by landing on further scatter symbols.
If you’ve tried other Betsoft titles, you’ll probably more than familiar with their high standard of quality when it comes down to their execution of their games and this is something that is still relevant with the release of 4 Seasons. The game isn’t bogged down with interruptions or bonus features that feel tedious and the implementation of the wheel corresponding with the different animals and seasons is a nice touch.
